Parish Council Minutes

Parish Council Minutes

I. Opening

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Parish Council President Barbara Gross.

Father Paul offered an opening prayer. Minutes from last month were read by recording secretary and approved by council.

Members Present:  Barbara Gross, Carl Woodall, Chip Granger, Glen Savoie , Stephen Sellers, Tommy LeBlanc, Ann Fabre, Weldon LeBlanc

Members Excused:  Allen Mumford, Cindy Garriott

Guest: Nancy Sellers (shared with the council the trip to Philadelphia with the Pope’s visit to the United States).

  1. The MiniatureBellTower is being looked into being completed. The color of bricks is being decided for the tower. Hopefully, matching as close as can to bricks on church and other buildings.

 B.     Father Paul will get hold of Chuck Pierce of Guitar and Banjo into getting a price on a package deal for a sound system in parish hall.

C.Father Paul asks just to keep in mind, if needed, perhaps knocking down the wall between Legion of Mary Room and where the Adult Faith Formation meets in the ReligiousEducationBuilding.  Depending on how the Formation Program continues to grow in the future, there may be a need to put partition instead of wall.

  1. The Adult Faith Formation Program appears to be doing well. Every Sunday there is over 45 people in attendance; Bishop Barron’s video “Catholicism” series is very educational; great fellowship before class with breakfast items and coffee/juice.

  1.  Father Paul went online to look for local business that sells and installs a one person rail chair lift for the choir loft in church.
  1. Closing

Due to the upcoming Holiday Schedules, the next meeting will be Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall Meeting Room.

The meeting was brought to a close at 7:00 p.m. with a prayer by Fr Paul Sumler.

 Respectfully submitted,

JayMarie Granger
